Lollydolls...

Here are a couple of images for my new brainwave the 'lollydolls'- or decapitated dolls head on sticks.
The doll is a prototype, it's a little rough in areas but I haven't worked with clay for awhile so I'm a bit rusty.

Glynllifon Craft fair, June 24th.

As you may or may not know, Twinkle & Gloom had a stall at the Glynllifon fair on Sunday.
I was sharing a stall with the wonderful cake maker 'Charli Cakes'.

Here are photos of the stall!

Too much Tea.

I've been lost, in a mist of artists block, de motivation and glumness.
But I have had an idea for a series of things, and have successfully managed a few experiments today.

Alice Day, and the Extravaganza!

I have a very exciting project on the go!
I've been asked to make two 'face in hole' boards, one for Alice Day, and the other for the Victorian Extravaganza in Llandudno at the beginning of May.
It's an exciting project and it means a lot to me to be involved in an Alice event!

So, come along!
I'll be manning the boards all weekend too, dressed as Alice.
Ill keep you all updated with progress shots and information!

I must stress Im not involved in the event, Im just a supporter.
A very excited supporter!

'The Nonsense Fairy' in ink, and t-shirts.

^The Nonsense Fairy ink drawing.

In other news: I am in the process of experimenting with fabric transfers in order
to make t-shirts of some of my drawings and paintings. Here are
examples of some black and white transfers.
I think this kind of transfer will look nice on t-shirts.

More circus inks.

Here are some new circus ink drawings.
I made three in an hour which is probably why I don't like
two of them very much at the moment.

Circus Queen

Here's my latest ink drawing.
I'm happier with her now than I was when I made it.
I think my insecurities was with drawing eyes.
I've drawn 'dot eyes' for so long, It's felt weird for me to go back to drawing eyes like I used to.
I like her now.
I'm enjoying making these ink portraits of fictional circus people.
I hope to get time to do more. But I always say that, and I already have a back log of things I want to do!
